McKinney man charged with having child porn
BY DANNY GALLAGHER, McKinney Courier-Gazette
FBI, Collin County Child Advocacy Center and Collin County sheriff's officials confirmed a McKinney man had a “significant” amount of child pornography on his home computer.
Joshua Aaron Paris, 29, of McKinney, faces a felony charge of possession of child pornography he kept on his home computer.
Lt. John Norton, of the Collin County Sheriff's Office, said the Collin County Child Advocacy Center received an anonymous tip about Paris back in September. A CAC investigator, in conjunction with the Collin County Sheriff's Office, obtained a search warrant for Paris' home in the 6200 block of Wildwood Drive, where they found and seized a computer containing images of who were believed to be underage children engaged in sexually explicit behavior and/or poses.
Paris turned himself over to authorities Dec. 4. He received a felony charge of possession of child pornography and a $150,000 bond, an amount that was later reduced to $30,000. He posted his reduced bond Dec. 6 and was released.
Norton said CAC investigators could not release the total number of illegal images they and FBI investigators found on Paris' computer but noted that it is a “significant” amount.
