The Chef’s Gallery at The Art Institute of Dallas recently prepared a three course “Taste of Texas” themed dinner for more than 30 homeowners of The Residences on Watermere Drive. Homeowners enjoyed corn fritters with bacon jalapeno aioli to start, followed by an appetizer of quesadilla with goat cheese, roasted peppers and cantaloupe salsa, smoked brisket with chipotle mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus for the entrée, topped off with fried apple pie with cinnamon ice cream for dessert.

“We love to get out and enjoy local flavors,” said Gloria Powell, activity director, The Residences on Watermere Drive. “We often visit new restaurants, art galleries, museums, the Dallas Arboretum, and enjoy performances at Bass Hall and the Winspear Opera House, to name a few.”

The Chef’s Gallery is located on the campus of The Art Institute of Dallas. It is a restaurant open to the public and operated by senior level culinary students and overseen by professional staff faculty. The menus highlight seasonal ingredients and on Friday nights, feature a themed menu, called “Chef’s Menu,” that is created by a student.

Single-Family Villas ranging from 2,000-3,000 square feet are available for purchase or lease to purchase, and Mid-Rise Condominiums ranging from 1,000-2,000 square feet are available for purchase or lease.
