Council shuffles boards, commissions

The Flower Mound Town Council on Monday made several moves within the town’s boards and commissions.
Among those were removing planning and zoning commissioners Dennis McKaige, Mellany Lamb and Jeff Whittaker, whose terms were set to expire in a year. Bjorn Vandug, whose term expired last month, was not reappointed.
The council appointed Mike Walker, Andre Zwilling, Don McDaniel and Angie Cox in their places.
Two years ago when Mayor Melissa Northern and Councilman Steve Lyda were elected to office and Councilman Al Filidoro was re-elected, the council made similar moves, removing Bryan Webb and David Johnson from the commission, as well as Cox and Denis Toth from the Parks, Arts and Library Services (PALS) Board.
It was believed they were removed in 2010 for the others, who frequently supported similar causes as Northern, Filidoro and Lyda.
Toth was appointed to the board of adjustments Monday.
