First McKinney receives Oncor Energy Grant

First Baptist Church, McKinney recently received its' second grant from Oncor Energy to assist in funding the purchase of more energy efficient HVAC equipment, to further the church's commitment to reducing energy usage. To-date the church has received over $120,000 in grants. Lead by Church Administrator, Greg Welsh, and facilities staff Donna Kilgo, Wayne Hardin, Kara Greer, and Dale Young, the project allowed the church to complete the project of replacing over 40 rooftop A/C units at 60% less cost. The church is already seeing a 20% reduction in it's energy costs, as well. Special thanks to Dunrite HVAC contractors for completing the project on-time and within budget.
