QUAKER STEAK & LUBE TO SERVE UP COMPANY'S BILLIONTH CHICKEN WING AT PLANO "HARD HAT" PARTY

Open in January 2013
SHARON, PA. – Nov. 2, 2012 – The Award-Winning casual-dining franchise Quaker Steak & Lube®, known for its Best Wings USA and more than 20 sauces, announced today that it just got hotter in Plano, TX as they plan to serve the company’s billionth chicken wing at the Plano Lube “Hard Hat” & Billionth Wing Party. The Lube® will host this private event on Thursday, November 15th to celebrate the brands expansion into the Plano market. The restaurant will open to the public in January 2013 and will be located at Parkwood and 121 Plano, TX 75024.
Attendees will get a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the newly elected Mayor of Lube Nation, Ken Rumbaugh, as he makes history eating the company’s billionth chicken wing. Earlier this summer, Ken Rumbaugh was crowned Mayor of Lube Nation after a nationwide search to find the company’s most loyal Lubie. The newest Mayor, Ken Rumbaugh said, “Sharing the stage with two other Mayors will be almost as exciting as eating the Billionth Wing. I can’t wait!”
“As a former Mayor of Plano, I’m invested in our Texas takeover and the growth and development of our company in the area,” said John Longstreet. “During this event, we’ll make history as our newly elected Mayor of Lube Nation Ken Rumbaugh eats our billionth wing displaying Lube Nation’s success as leaders in the chicken wing industry.”
The Plano restaurant will create close to 200 jobs for the area and will be the 3rd Quaker Steak & Lube® location in Texas. The new Lube will encompass an 8,000 square-foot design while accommodating seating for over 360 people including a 1,000 square-foot brickyard patio, two full-service bars and over 34 flat screen TV’s.
This past June, the company launched their Texas invasion and announced plans to open ten new restaurants throughout the area, two of which are currently open in Carrollton and Waco.
Quaker Steak & Lube® has quickly become one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the country. The company is on track to open 12 restaurants this year and another 12 in 2013. The brand has signed development agreements in six new markets with five new franchise groups. Quaker Steak & Lube® currently has close to 60 locations open across 18 states and Canada.
