PCA volleyball falls to Bishop Lynch in state finals
BY Matt Welch, mwelch@starlocalnews.com
The Bishop Lynch volleyball team got the last laugh over Prestonwood Christian Academy.
Meeting for the third time this season, the Lady Lions fell shy in their bid for a fourth TAPPS State Championship, falling to the Lady Friars in three sets (25-14, 25-16, 25-19) Saturday in the TAPPS State Finals at the Blossom Athletic Center in San Antonio.
The match marked Prestonwood's first appearance in the finals since 2005, which capped a run of three state championships from 2003-05. Saturday's return proved unceremonious against Lynch, a district foe with whom the Lady Lions split the regular-season series.
