Marcus band reaches finals

The Marcus High School band finished in the top 10 to reach the finals at the UIL Class 5A State Marching Band Contest on Tuesday.
Marcus will perform at 9 p.m. today with the champion being named at 11:15 p.m.
The other bands that reached the finals are Hebron, Coppell, Richardson Berkner, Hurst L.D. Bell and Arlington Bowie, as well as Claudia Taylor Johnson, The Woodlands, Ronald Regan and Austin Westlake.
Marcus is seeking its fourth straight state championship. Marcus is performing “Gilded Melodies.”
