A missing University of Texas at Arlington professor was found dead Saturday at Ray Roberts State Park in Pilot Point. In a message posted online, the Dallas Police Department said the body of Pablo Mora was found by a passerby in a densely wooded portion of the park.

Mora's body was transported to the Denton County Medical Examiner's office, where suicide by hanging was determined to be the cause of death. The medical examiner's report states he died approximately 150 feet south of the lake shoreline and about 1.5 miles east of the boat ramp at the Isle du Bois Unit.

Dallas police had been searching for Mora, an assistant psychology professor, for more than a month. Before his disappearance, he had been collaborating in a study of postpartum depression among inner-city women. He was last seen Sept. 30 while leaving his home in the 4100 block of Avondale Avenue in Dallas. His vehicle was later found abandoned at Ray Roberts State Park.

A follow-up investigation into his death will be conducted by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
