Christmas events
The following is a list of Christmas events hosted by the town of Flower Mound:
Breakfast with Santa
Children ages 10 and under, have two opportunities to enjoy Breakfast with Santa, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Community Activity Center (CAC), 1200 Gerault Road. Children will have an opportunity to create a wish list, sit on Santa’s lap, and build a keepsake ornament. A photographer will also be available to take pictures at an additional charge. Each session will be limited to 75 children and adults. Registration is $10 for CAC members and $11 for non-members, after the first adult, each additional will be $4 for CAC members and $5 for non-members. Beginning at 10 a.m. on Dec. 8, the 23rd Annual Christmas Parade will take place along Morriss Road from Eaton Drive to Marcus High School. Everyone is invited to join the parade, as the town celebrates the holiday season with candy, music, and costumes. The parade will be broadcast on FMTV throughout December. Morriss Road will be closed to accommodate the parade between Cross Timbers Road and Marcus High School, from 8 a.m. to approximately noon. Gingerbread House Decorating
Help create lasting holiday memories with your family by registering for the annual gingerbread house decorating social at the Community Activities Center (CAC), 1200 Gerault Road, from 2-4 p.m. Dec. 9. CAC staff will provide the gingerbread house and decorating materials needed for your family to create a masterpiece. Pre-registration for the event is required, and price is per gingerbread house. Registration for CAC members is $20, and non-members is $22. For information, or to register, call the CAC at 972-874-7275.
Grinch Scramble
Looking for a family adventure during the holiday season? Bring your family out to Gerault Park, 1200 Gerault Road, at 7 p.m. on Dec. 14 for the Grinch Scramble. Search through thousands of candy canes, and other goodies while keeping an eye out for the Grinch. The grand prize will be given to the lucky child who finds the stuffed Grinch. Don’t forget flashlights and bags to help you search and collect candy. There will be holiday music, crafts, and games. The scramble is free and open to anyone. Activities begin at 7 p.m. with the scramble beginning promptly at 7:30 pm. For information, call 972-874-7275.
