Jimmie Lee Hargrove, born in Breckenridge, Texas, June 29, 1941, and raised in Abilene and Merkel, Texas, passed away October 9, 2012, in Clearwater, Florida.
Jimmie graduated from Merkel in 1959 and attended McMurry College in Abilene, Texas, on a football scholarship.
Prior to his illness, Hargrove resided in Lewisville and Krum, Texas. He was the owner of several companies in the Dallas area; most notably dealing with hydraulic lifts for automotive centers.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. December 1, 2012, at the Lewisville Masonic Lodge #201, 603 Manco Road, Lewisville, Texas. Worshipful Master, Brian Lee, will be conducting the service with Service Coordinator, Larry Fitzpatrick, assisting. Following the memorial service, a Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Sneaky Pete's, 2 Eagle Point Road, Lewisville, Texas.
Parents, Horace B. Hargrove and Mary Elizabeth Powell Hargrove, preceded him in death.
Surviving are brothers, Gene Hal Hargrove of Azle, Texas, and Larry Dee Hargrove of Coldspring, Texas; sons Jimmie Douglas Hargrove of Livingston, Texas, Troy Lee Hargrove of Las Vegas, Nevada, Larry Ray Hargrove of Clearwater, Florida, and stepson, Matthew Clark of Lewisville, Texas. Grandchildren include: Kristy Hargrove Stahley, Mason Williams, Lacee Brown, Alysen Kaye, and great-grandchildren Kallen Gerald Stahley and Mallory Sue Stahley.
