North Texas Nadadores impress at Junior Nationals

The North Texas Nadadores (NTN) competed in the 2012 USA Swimming Winter Junior Nationals. The meet was held Dec. 6-8 in Knoxville, TN.
NTN Boys placed 3rd overall at Winter Junior Nationals with 80 teams competing. The combined NTN Boys & Girls team score placed NTN 6th in team competition. This is the best showing ever for NTN in national competition and the highest place finish for any North Texas team in 2012.
Highlights from Winter Junior Nationals:
Brett Ringgold finished 1st out of 69 swimmers who were eligible to compete in the 50 Freestyle with a meet record time of 19:73. He also finished in 2nd place in the 100 Free with a time of 43.44.
Aaron Greene finished 2nd out of 117 eligible swimmers in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 1:43.74. He also finished 3rd in the 100 Back with a time of 48.44.
Boys 800 Free Relay (Jonathan Roberts, Brett Ringgold, Jacob Tovey, and Aaron Greene) 7th-6:44.72.
Boys 400 Free Relay (Aaron Greene, Brett Ringgold, Jonathan Roberts, Taylor Willenbring) 8th - 3:04.89.
Boys 400 Medley Relay (Aaron Greene, John Remetta, Jacob Tovey, Brett Ringgold) 8th - 3:21.75.
Boys 200 Free Relay (Brett Ringgold, Aaron Greene, Jacob Tovey, John Remetta) 9th - 1:24.36.
Boys 200 Medley Relay (Aaron Greene, John Remetta, Jacob Tovey, Brett Ringgold) 13th - 1:33.79.
Girls 400 Free Relay (Emily Gibson, Emily Zapinski, Lindsay Schultz, Laura Norman) 16th - 3:27.71.
The North Texas Nadadores are a year round age-group swimming team offering instruction, training, and competition. The team is under the direction of Head Coach Bill Christensen, Head Age Group Coach Abby Turner, and Assistant Coaches Dan Balint, Audrey Cormack, Laura Dobbs, Ashley Knapp, Amanda Hogan and Shelley Ross. The team is a Silver Medal Club Member of USA Swimming and offers its programs in the Southlake Carroll Independent School District's Aquatic Center in Southlake.
