A burglar who amassed more than 200 guns and hundreds of watches while robbing homes in Dallas, Plano and McKinney was sentenced to 20 years in prison Friday, according to a press release from the Collin County District Attorney's Office.

Parker resident Paul Kelso, 62, burglarized eight homes during a four-year period and was arrested while breaking into a McKinney home in November 2011. The victim's 22-year-old daughter was inside the home at the time and called police, who arrested Kelso when he was leaving the home.

Kelso stole jewelry, watches, guns and other items from the homes he burglarized. McKinney police located the stockpile of stolen goods at his home after the arrest and used them to link him to other burglaries.

Keslo pleaded guilty to seven indictments for burglary of a habitation and one indictment for theft of property over $100,000, but less than $200,000. The eight charges were all second-degree felonies with a punishment range between two years and 20 years in prison. The eight cases will be served concurrently.
