FLOWER MOUND -- Flower Mound's boys basketball team hit 3-pointers on three of its first four possessions Tuesday night and never looked back as the Jaguars pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Marcus, 66-48.
The Jaguars (1-1) led by nine entering the fourth, where they limited the Marauders (1-1) to seven points to seal the win.
Brandon Langley scored a team-high 26 points, including 7-of-15 from 3-point range, while Justin Gammill posted 15, including 12 in the first half with four 3-pointers. As a team, the Jaguars knocked down 13-of-26 from the perimeter.
The Marauders converted five threes of their own in the first half but made just one in the final two quarters.
Marcus continued at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hebron while Flower Mound looks for two in a row at the same time at home against Denton Ryan.
