Joe Lee Smith, born April 30, 1952, passed away on January 1, 2013, in Loma Linda, California.
Joe was a native of Celina, Texas, and had made Las Vegas his home for a number of years.
He was a long haul trucker, logging more than three million miles until his death. His passion was music. He composed the lyrics and music to several songs and recorded and released his own album, of which he was extremely proud.
Survivors include his son, John LandrySmith (Samantha); granddaughters, Jessica-Marie Sielken and Chloe-Lynn Smith of Mililani, Hawaii; his brother, Scotty Ray Smith (Betty) of Martinez, Georgia; nephews, Darryl Smith of Odessa, Texas, and Dallas Smith (Melissa); and great-niece, Emelia Smith, of Martinez, Georgia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George Harper Smith and Dorothy Dale Smith.
Joe made his final wishes to be scattered to the winds in Texas, California and Hawaii.
