Gwendolyn Ann Pirkey
Gwendolyn Ann Pirkey, 67, of McKinney, Texas, passed away January 18, 2013.
She was born September 9, 1945, in Weatherford, Texas.
Gwendolyn loved kids and her family. She enjoyed traveling. She also loved cooking and entertaining. Gwendolyn was a member of First Baptist Church in McKinney, where she taught Sunday school and children's choir.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Bower and husband, Greg of McKinney, Texas; brothers and sisters, Eric Bradford and wife, Janet of Wimberley, Texas, Connie Bradford of Dallas, Texas, Brent Bradford and wife, Rosario of Denton, Texas, Brenda Bradford of Dallas, Texas, Jonathan Bradford and wife, Judy of Hurst, Texas, Charla Housson and husband, Shannon of Austin, Texas, Rhonda Kunkel of Austin, Texas, Angela Giberson and husband, John of Buda, Texas, Belinda Anderson of Krotz Springs, Louisiana, and Cassandra Bradford of Lakeway, Texas; grandsons, Grant Bower of McKinney, Texas and Zachary Bower and wife, Drea of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter, Samantha Bower of Trenton, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Frankie Bradford; brother, Tommy Bradford and her sister, Donna Hilton.
Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas, with Rev. Randy Morlan officiating.
The family received friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
