Linda Ruth James
Linda Ruth James of Whitewright, Texas, passed away on January 14, 2013, at the age of 65.
She was born on January 13, 1948, in McKinney, Texas, to Andrew James ("AJ" or "Jim") and Alice Olene (Cornell) Edmonds.

She was a 1966 graduate of McKinney High School.

On June 14, 1968, Linda married Don E. James in Princeton, Texas. She worked for Collin County (Engineering Department) for the last 20 years and previously worked for many years at the McKinney branch of Job Corps.

She is survived by her husband, Don E. James of Whitewright; daughter, Misty D. James of Allen, Texas; sister, Betty Loudin of Louisville, Tennessee; mother-in-law, Betty A. James of Princeton; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Alice Edmonds; infant son, Darrell James; infant sister, Mildred Edmonds; and brother-in-law, Bobby Loudin.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, January 18, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas, with Dr. Danny Buster officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
