For the second consecutive season, Newman Smith golfer Eji Kwon will head to the UIL Class 4A Region II Meet as Kwon claimed the District 9-4A girls title at Mansfield National Golf Course.

Also notching a top 10 finish was Creekview’s Mica Eastin in seventh (158).

Hampton entered the final round in fifth, but surged ahead of the competition and finished with a one-stroke advantage over Wakeland’s Devin Hirschfield (155).
Frisco Centennial finished first on the boys side, while Wakeland placed second.
