Philip Charles Miller
Philip Charles Miller of The Colony, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2013.
The oldest son of Carl and Kathleen Miller, he was born May 31, 1940, in Conrad, Montana, and grew up on the family farm near Valier, Montana.

He attended College in Havre, Montana, and served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965. Philip married Sally Dougall in June 1965 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.

As a young man Phil was active in the U.S. Jaycees, serving for a time on the National Staff in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Milestone Distributing working in sales. He was a family man who spent time with his children and grandchildren, fishing, coaching soccer and refereeing games.

During his retirement he spent most of his time in his workshop where he made wooden furniture, jewelry boxes and cutting boards. He never missed a John Wayne movie on TV.

Phil is survived by his wife, Sally (Dougall) Miller; son, Robert and wife, Helen (Kershaw) Miller; son, Michael and wife, Michelle (Woolsey) Miller; grandchildren, Robby, Madison and Jessica Miller; sister, Carol (Miller) Colgan; and brothers, Joseph Miller, Ken Miller and Douglas Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Anita.

A memorial service will be held February 15, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Valley Creek Church in Flower Mound, Texas.
