Gordon "Sonny" Lawrence Seelhorst, 66, of Plano, Texas, passed away February 17, 2013, in Plano.
Sonny was born August 22, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Gordon Elmer and Evelyn (Engel) Seelhorst.He married Connie Kampas on November 20, 1982, in Dallas, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Seelhorst of Plano, Texas; daughters, Courtney Seelhorst of Waco, Texas, and Cheryl (Seelhorst) McClain and husband, Richard, of Lake Dallas, Texas; grandsons, Justin McClain and Maranda Harris, of Lewisville, Texas, and Preston McClain of Lake Dallas, Texas; and great-granddaughters, Hannah and Londyn McClain, also of Lewisville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Evelyn Seelhorst and brother, Ron Seelhorst.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Texas, 75023.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, www.pancan.org.
