West Mesquite improved to 2-3 on the season with a 6-2 victory over South Garland on Tuesday.

The game was tied at 2-2 in the late innings, but the Wranglers pushed across three runs in the top of the sixth inning and another insurance run in the seventh.

Blake Seaton came on in relief with three strikeouts in three innings to pick up the win. Seaton also had three hits, including a double and a run batted in. Chris Duckworth tripled for West Mesquite, while Drake Malcom also had a RBI.

Sachse and Horn were not as fortunate on Tuesday.

The Mustangs slipped to 2-2-1 on the season with a 4-2 loss to Duncanville. Sachse pushed across single runs in the third and fifth innings on RBI singles by Eric Williams, but a two-run fifth by Duncanville proved to be the difference.

Horn (2-2) managed only three hits in a 7-0 loss to Berkner.

The Jaguars will join Mesquite, North Mesquite and West Mesquite at the Mesquite ISD Crumpton Invitational on Thursday through Saturday.

Poteet will play in the Jesuit Classic, Rowlett is slated to compete in the Flower Mound Showdown while Sachse will take part in the Wylie Donnie Worthington Classic.
