I'm back on Twitter: get excited!

I feel like I should be more of an embracer of Twitter.

After all, I was part of the first wave of people using Twitter, setting up my account in September 2008 (and talking to some guy in Korea over the phone to do so) so that I could update people on scores during the football game, which of course is commonplace now.

But if you look at my new and improved Twitter account (@OThankKevin) you will see my interest in the then-new technology quickly died out. I sporadically tweeted future football games and even a soccer match before the account was mercifully put to an end in June 2009 after a super topical remark about John and Kate ... hey, it was 2009, what do you want from me?!

But I have decided to get back into Twitter.

I gave it up because I had enough spots to give my opinions or spout nonsensical randomness (usually the same thing). From the newspaper to the blog to my radio show, The K&C Masterpiece on 105.3 The Fan (also on Twitter @kandc1053), I had too many spots and not enough opinions to prop up a Twitter account.

I still supported Twitter, I just did so by seeking out information instead of providing anything.

But if Mitt Romney taught me anything (aside from how to run an inferior political campaign when you should have steamrolled your opponent after his poor first term in the Oval Office) it was that I don't want to be a moocher ... I don't want to be a part of that dreaded 47 percent, so I figured I better contribute.

So here's a blog to tell you about my Twitter account and maybe later I'll send out a tweet about my blog and my head will just collapse on itself.

It would be sad, but would also make for some great tweets, so follow me.
